A.R Rahman Life And Music Career In A Short View

A legendary personality of the Indian music industry and to be frank about this man, this is better to say that there is hardly anything new to introduce about this person about him and his works. He never left any chance to work any of the music industry he get the chance to work with. Not because that reason rather his talent over the music and working capability in the Indian music industry he become famous worldwide. This man we are talking about born in Madras, India. His father’s name is “R. K. Shekhar” is a well known film-scorer composer and conductor for Tamil and Malayalam films and “AR Rahman” assisted his father in the studio and with the music instruments like the keyboard.
After the death of his father then “AR Rahman” was only nine years old, the rental money of his father’s musical equipments were the only source of his family’s income. This man raised by his mother mostly and the name of his mother is, “Kareema”, “AR Rahman” basically was a keyboard player and arranger for bands such as “Roots” and from his own point of view, he founded the “Chennai-based rock group Nemesis Avenue”. He is still a master the instruments like “keyboard”, “piano”, “synthesizer”, “harmonium” as well as the guitar, and very normally he was interested in the “synthesizer” because he stated that, it was the “needed combination of music and technology”. “AR Rahman” began his basic musical training under well known “Master Dhanraj”, and at age of 11, he began playing in the orchestra of Malayalam composer, who was a close friend of his father known with the name of “M. K. Arjunan”. Later, very soon he began working with other composers as like “M. S. Viswanathan”, legendary “Ilaiyaraaja”, “Ramesh Naidu” and “Raj-Koti” as well, who were accompanied with “Zakir Hussain”, “Kunnakudi Vaidyanathan” and “L. Shankar” give the accompany on world tours and obtained a scholarship from very well known college “Trinity College London” from the “Trinity College of Music”. While, Studying in Madras, Rahman graduated with a diploma in “Western classical music” from the school. “AR Rahman” was introduced with “Qadiri Islam” when his younger sister was seriously ill in the time of 1984. His mother basically was a practicing Hindu. He converted to Islam with other members of his family in the year of 1989 at age of 23 and here he changing his name from “R. S. Dileep Kumar” to “Allah Rakha Rahman” in short we all know him as “A. R. Rahman”
So here all you can see above is about the personal and family background also the training part of his life. As he has a long career with the music, lets turn our focus on the matter of career of this man.
